Orange Prize Long List
The orange Prize for Fiction long list has been announced...and no surprise that Anne Enright's The Gathering is on the list. If it gets shortlisted we will have already read one! here is a link to the long list
Also, thinking of organising a London based get together to discuss the Poisonwood Bible- some time in April perhaps?

Not sure how to set up an entry for a particular book, but I've just finished 'Fault Lines' and i thought it was terrific. I enjoyed the multiple narrative viewpoints, and it was poignant and enlightening, dealing with a little known WWII horror in a cleverly revelatory manner. Very unaffected stlye too. Elena
I've also read 'The Outcast', which didn't move or impress me particularly (but what do I know!!!). I enjoyed the setting in buttoned-down 1950s England, but couldn't really empathise with the characters. Nor did I think their prime motivations or actions were all that clearly explained, and the ending was a little pat. Elena
